Head-on motor vehicle accidents can be very dangerous. Such accidents can cause the individuals involved to suffer serious injuries and can sometimes even result in fatalities.
Recently, a head-on motor vehicle accident occurred in California which resulted in a death.
The accident occurred on January 29 in Orange County. Allegedly, early that morning, a 23-year-old man was driving the wrong way along the 91 freeway. Reportedly, the 23-year-old man's vehicle then struck a motor vehicle that was being driven by a 58-year-old man head-on.
It has also been alleged that the 23-year-old man had been driving the wrong way along another freeway in Orange County prior to going the wrong way along the 91 freeway.
Authorities reportedly suspect that the 23-year-old man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the above-mentioned head-on motor vehicle collision. He reportedly was arrested after the crash.
This motor vehicle accident reportedly resulted in a 53-year-old woman who was a passenger of the 58-year-old man's vehicle dying. The accident also reportedly caused the 58-year-old man, the 23-year-old man and a passenger of the 23-year-old man's vehicle to suffer injuries.
As this crash illustrates, head-on motor vehicle accidents can sometimes have fatal results.
Thus, it is very important for motor vehicle drivers to do everything they reasonably can to prevent head-on car accidents. This includes avoiding engaging in reckless conduct, such as wrong-way driving or driving while under the influence of alcohol, when out on the roads. It also includes following all applicable traffic laws when driving.
